Thorson Chess Club

The Chess Club at Thorson is a PTO-funded program offered to children 1st - 5th grade. The purpose of the program is to motivate the children to gain skills in perseverance, memory and decision-making while having fun playing a game with their friends. Children who participate in the club are taught basic rules and strategies of chess and are encouraged to attend tournaments in the area as part of a team.
