Any student who intends to participate in NCAA Division I or II athletics as college freshman must register and be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center. The NCAA Eligibility Center charges a registration fee. (The fee can be waived if the student qualified for and received a waiver of the ACT or SAT fee.) Students should register after completing their junior year. The NCAA requires the student to submit his/her grades after the junior year, so registering before then offers no advantage.
