National Organization/Mission Statement: To provide students with educational opportunities to learn, grow, compete, and volunteer through coding and cybersecurity competitions, as well as outreach with the local elementary schools.
Description: Students have the opportunity to participate in CHS's Coding Club through competitions, volunteering, or both! :) There are many competitions available - some of which include the Congressional App Challenge, CyberPatriot, Code/Art, Marquette ACM, and Aerospace Jam. Students also have the opportunity to do community outreach by volunteering their time after school teaching students at the local elementaries how to code and complete fun, problem-solving challenges.

National Organization/Mission Statement: Common Sense is published by students and Cedarburg High School to inform, persuade, entertain and provide a journalistic experience for students.
Description: The Common Sense staff is a creative, hard-working group of writers and web designers who publish the online school newspaper, chscommonsense.com. Staff members appreciate meeting new people and working as a team to publish an award-winning publication. Editors have the opportunity to develop leadership skills. They also enjoy the reward of seeing their work published online. Students considering a career in the communications field are encouraged to join.

Mission: The Drone Club builds a connection between coding and real-world missions NASA is working on while utilizing unmanned aerial craft as a delivery mechanism.
Description: The Drone Club participates in a Drone mission competition sponsored by Carroll University and the Milwaukee Bucks. Students will assemble a drone and create code for sensors to complete a mission plan in a competion. Mentors from NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab and Carroll University are available to support and build connections in those industries.

This day-long event is an excellent opportunity for students to develop leadership and communication skills that champion a more sustainable and environmentally aware community.

Description: FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. The DECA experience starts in the classroom, where students learn business concepts in preparation for college and careers. A powerful instructional component, DECA brings the classroom to life by empowering the teacher-advisor to make learning relevant with educational programs that integrate into classroom instruction, apply learning, connect to business and promote competition. The successful integration of each of these four interconnected components, also part of DECA’s guiding principles, results in a strong program that produces college- and career-ready students.

National Organization/Mission Statement: To create a community of students who are passionate about sports. One of the main objectives is to increase attendance at girls' sporting events. Not only will members stay informed about CHS athletics, but will also be educated about professional sports in general.
Description: A student-athlete-led club that is open to all students who are either athletes or sports enthusiasts. Although our club is called “Girls and Sports”, anyone is welcome to join. Members of this club will participate in monthly meetings, be encouraged to attend sporting events, and take part in a variety of club events.

“A Varsity Sport for the Mind®”, CHS Robotics’ mission is to utilize the above technical skills to successfully design, construct, and operate a team robot in FRC competitions. We strive to win, as well as create notable and ambitious mentor-guided automation projects that are, first and foremost, built by students to demonstrate their acquired competence in these subject areas. Through our team and the FIRST Robotics Competition, students gain valuable life skills, including innovation, self-confidence, communication, and leadership, as well as functional experience in creating automated systems.
Description: The Cedarburg Robotics Team, known as the HexHounds, promotes the study and application of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in a fun and interesting way through involvement in FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).

Description: The SMART Team program is designed to expose students to and prepare them for potential education and career opportunities in science and medicine. It is designed so they can experience firsthand how science is done. In SMART Teams, small groups of students use hands-on modeling activities and online digital resources to discover basic molecular concepts. Students read a research paper and use protein structure data to “design” and 3D print a model of the protein, which they use to communicate the structure-function story in a capstone event presentation.

Description: The Social Studies Team will give students opportunities to compete either locally, nationally, or even internationally in a variety of Social Studies-based competitions in order to form bonds with other students, explore Social Studies more in-depth, and earn college credit. CHS will be putting together teams to compete in The Civics Games, the EU Econ competition, and the History Bowl. Students will attend meetings to put together teams and practice.

National Organization/Mission Statement: Unified Sports® creates unique teammate bonds through sports experiences just like any other sports team, creating a culture of inclusion and fostering understanding in schools and communities around the state. Participation in Unified Sports leads to new friendships, improved self-esteem and positive changes in attitude, behavior and performance for all students involved. In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability, which makes practices more fun and games more challenging and exciting for all. Having sports in common is just one more way that preconceptions and false ideas are swept away. Half a million people worldwide take part in Unified Sports, breaking down stereotypes about people with intellectual disabilities in a really fun way.

Description: This club designs and builds the sets, scenery, and props for the high school theatrical performances as well as run each show. This includes lighting and sound. Students also run each performance.

Description: Students engage in a practical, hands-on experience in musical theatre production and performance.

National Organization/Mission Statement: The purpose of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Cedarburg High School. Learn more at NHS.us
Description: The National Honor Society enshrines four pillars at its heart: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Juniors and seniors eligible for selection to the chapter shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4. Upon meeting the grade level, attendance, and GPA standard requirements, candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, and character. NHS members will determine one or more service projects a year to better our community.
